Program Details
The Emergency Medical Services program prepares students to achieve certification and licensure to enter into EMS career paths. Students begin their training by completing EMS1 Emergency Medical Responder. This program includes curriculum necessary to prepare the student to become a Nationally Registered EMT. Students, upon successful completion of the Chabot College EMT training program, including didactic and clinical, will be eligible to sit for the licensing exam with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), and successful students will be eligible for licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician in the state of California.

- Competently perform in the entry-level EMT affective (behavior) learning domain with or without exit points at the Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels. 4. Become a Nationally Registered EMT.
- Competently perform in the entry-level EMT cognitive (knowledge) learning domain with or without exit points at the Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
- Competently perform in the entry-level EMT psychomotor (skills) learning domain with or without exit points at the Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels.
