Associate in Science for Transfer
Program Details
The AS-T in Film, TV & Electronic Media provides training emphasizing professional practice, and tactile experience in the creation of film productions, live television & radio programming. Students create audio and video content designed for various distribution channels. The degree also offers courses in theoretical, practical, artistic, and historical aspects of the film, television, radio, and digital media industries. Students wishing to pursue the Associate in Science for Transfer in Film, Television, and Electronic Media degree must: 1. Complete 60 semester units or 90 quarter units are eligible for transfer to the California State University. 2. Complete the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC). 3. Complete a minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district. 4. Obtain a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0. 5. Earn a grade of “C” or better in all courses required for: the major or area of emphasis and Cal-GETC. Students are advised to consult with a Chabot College Counselor for additional information and to verify transfer requirements.
