High Beginning Writing Skills
Certificate of Competency
Program Details
Students who receive a Certificate of Competency in High Beginning Writing Skills complete two ESL noncredit courses: High Beginning Writing (ESL 220) and Basic Spelling (ESL 225). Completion of these courses and earning a Certificate of Competency demonstrates a student's readiness for low intermediate level ESL coursework as well as competency in the high beginning English reading, writing and communication skills required for the workplace.
