Program Details
The Machine Tool Technology AS degree is designed to train students for a tool and die making career. Graduates are trained in tool and die making, computerized numerical control (CNC) machining, computer-aided manufacturing, computer-aided drafting and design, and are capable of learning new skills with minimal instruction. Students are expected to have an appreciation of precise work and a desire to observe the progression of complex parts. Students use a variety of computer software applications to draw, design, and program CNC machines, and application work focuses on jigs, fixtures, and punch and die work.
