Associate in Science for Transfer
Program Details
The AS-T in Public Health Science provides a clearly articulated curricular track for students who wish to transfer to baccalaureate degree programs at a California State University (CSU) campus. California Community College students who are awarded an AS-T in Public Health Science are guaranteed admission with junior standing in the CSU System and given priority admission consideration to their local CSU campus to a program in areas such as Public Health, Health Science, Kinesiology with a Health Education or a Health and Wellness Promotion concentration, Collaborative Health and Human Services with Community Health option, as well as related fields. For detailed requirements for individual four-year institutions, students should contact the transfer institution and meet with a counselor for specific transfer course requirements in their chosen major. AS-T Requirements: • Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of degree-applicable courses, • Minimum overall grade point average of 2.0, • Minimum grade of “C” (or “P”) for each course in the major, and Cal-GETC • Completion of Cal-GETC.
